E-Cloth
I tried out the 'Hob & Oven' Pack. When I opened the packaged and told Andy what I had he laughed at me! Apparently normal people clean their ovens regularly .... We have had ours for 7 years now and I have never cleaned it (the inside, I wipe down the ceramic hob daily).
So I didn't back down and went into the kitchen opened the oven door and poked my head inside. Andy followed and laughed even more by saying "There's no use trying to top yourself love! Its electric!!". I ignored him and looked around, it was black... not black as in the oven was black - it was baked on soot and grease. I was not looking forward to this job.
Big bucket of warm water later and I was ready to get scrubbing. Luckily the Oven E-Cloth has scrubbing strips on one side which help remove tough grime, I was about to find out if they actually worked.
I scrubbed away, I didn't need detergent as the E-Cloths on need water to work which is great as 'apparently' the smell of detergents from cleaning the oven can taint your food (I wouldn't know this from experience as I have never before cleaned an oven).
I must admit - it took a lot of scrubbing! but my oven was dirtier than the normal oven. It did come up clean eventually, by rinsing my cloth and attacking the grime I got a good result. The ceramic hob sparkled when I had finished which surprised me as I had only cleaned it the night before.
When I was done my cloth was filthy, not to worry as you can throw E-Cloths into the washing machine and wash at 60* for a good clean or 90* for a tip-top wash. You can even tumble dry them! Each cloth is guaranteed for 300 washes - so think of the money you will save on cleaning products and cloths.
In the pack there is also a silver cloth, this is for light cleaning and polishing. Its best if you use it when the hob is 'warm' (not hot), spray water onto the area and buff away. It comes up lovely, a really nice finish.
I love E-Cloths, they are useful, dependable and can be used on any surface. You only need water and nothing nasty to clean surfaces which is great for the environment too.
Available from most major stores for around £8.80

Hands First Power Scrub and Moisturiser
'Scrubs' that I have used before have always had tiny mamby-pamby grains that gently cleanse away the dirt from your skin. Not this scrub this is a POWER scrub and the capital letters mean business!!
This scrub is a green gel that clings to your skin, I had no trouble spreading this all over my mucky hands it covers easily and a little goes along way. In the gel is huge tough grains for deep cleaning .... and I mean huge!
Containing natural pumice and walnut shell this scrub scrubs. The grains are visible to the naked eye and you can feel them working as you rub your hands together. However they do not hurt your skin, just rub away the ground in muck and dirt.
The gel contains natural blue cypress oil and panthenol (for skin conditioning) and natural anti-bacterial grapefruit seed extract. Both being great for your skin and kind too, although stop use if irritation occurs as you would with any product.
The Power Scrub smells divine, it has a marzipan fragrance which also slightly fragrances your skin. I really like the smell as from the green packaging I expected it to smell clinical or harsh, it is in fact the complete opposite which is great!
I am impressed with this scrub, it cleans where it should and leaves your hands feeling conditioned (and smelling of marzipan). Great for both male and female hands to get a good deep anti-bacterial deep clean for any profession.
RRP: Approx £5.89 for 225ml from various online pharmacy's.

BornFree
BornFree is the worlds leading brand of baby bottles and feeding devices free from Bisphenol-A (BPA), Phthalates and PVC.
We know that plastic can be recycled, but did you know that if you use a plastic bottle more than once it starts to break down and releases chemicals into the liquid it is holding? This is why reusable water bottle manufacturers coat the inside of the bottles with a special coating to stop the breakdown of material and make the drinker safe.
Until now had never thought about babies bottles. We sterilise them, use them, wash them, sterilise them, use them, wash them over and over and over .... surely the plastic starts to break down and chemicals seep into our babies milk!! When I think about how manky my daughters bottles were by the time she started on solids I feel quite ill thinking about all the nasty's that I was unknowingly feeding her feed after feed.
BornFree bottles, training cups, teats and other products are all safe from chemical breakdown leakage. They do not contain typical plastic bottle chemicals in the first place - therefore there is nothing to leak. You should however look after your BornFree bottles, keep them in a dry cool place when storing and always sterilise before use.
The range is available from http://www.babybornfree.co.uk/
The brand also supports www.healthychild.org - Healthy Child Healthy World.
